Hi, I'm Maryam.
Welcome to my portfolio!
I'm a UX/UI designer with a passion for solving problems through technology. After many years working as a instructor, I transitioned into the world of UX/UI and have been committed to self-learning and gaining knowledge in this field ever since.

As a UX/UI designer, I am known for being a problem solver and always keeping the user at the center of my design decisions. My attention to detail and research background enable me to create user-centered designs that meet the needs of the target audience.
I am skilled in a variety of soft skills, including communication, collaboration, and critical thinking, which allow me to work effectively with cross-functional teams and deliver high-quality designs. I am a dynamic and quick-witted individual with an unyielding passion for learning and a boundless energy to tackle new challenges.

When I'm not designing, you can find me enjoying my hobbies such as photography, dancing, traveling as well as immersing myself in nature. I am always looking for exciting new experiences and challenges, both personally and professionally.
My Transition Joureny from Teaching to UX/UI Design
As a teacher, I was always interested in understanding my students' needs, preferences, and learning styles to create engaging and effective lessons. This focus on empathy and understanding the user sparked my interest in UX.

Define
As I explored the field of UX, I realized that many of the skills I had developed as a teacher were transferable to this new field. Both require a deep understanding of the user, the ability to communicate effectively, the skill to create engaging experiences, communication, and critical thinking.
Ideate
Excited about the possibilities of UX, I began to brainstorm ways I could pivot my career towards this field. I researched different career paths, job requirements, and educational opportunities to gain a better understanding of what I needed to do to succeed in UX.
Prototype
Once I had a better idea of what I wanted to do, I started to create a plan. I signed up for courses, built a portfolio, and networked with professionals in the field to gain more knowledge and experience.
Test
Through trial and error, I tested different approaches and techniques to see what worked best for me. I sought feedback from colleagues, mentors, and other professionals to refine my skills and improve my work.
Implement
With a solid foundation in UX and a growing network of contacts, I felt confident enough to take the leap and apply for UX jobs. I landed my first role as a UX designer and have continued to grow and learn ever since. I'm grateful for my background in teaching, which has given me valuable skills and perspectives that I can apply to my work in UX.
